1.   10th International Day of Yoga June 21, 2024

We made a World Record with 1924 doctors and healthcare professionals

On International day of yoga April 21, 2024, 1924 doctors and healthcare workers enter Asia Book of Records at PGIMER, Chandigarh

PGIMER, Chandigarh creaqted history by becoming the first institute in the world to assemble the maximum number of Doctors and HealthcarePprofessionals from Chandigarh tricity to conduct the Common Yoga Protocol at the sports complex, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

1924 people gathered to create a benchmark for selfcare and the society.

Thanks to Dorector PGIMER (Prof. Vivek Lal), Director CCRYN (Mr. Raghvendra Rao), renowened Ayurvedacharya @chikitsaguru, and all the doctors and healthcare professionals who were the stars of the event.

One Day International Workshop on Mind Body: Emerging Status on 8 th January, 2024
The CCRYN-Collaborative Centre for Mind Body Intervention through Yoga at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh organised a “One day International Workshop on Mind-Body Intervention: Emerging Status” on 8th January, 2024 at Lecture Theatre-1 (LT-1), Nehru Hospital, PGIMER Chandigarh.

The main highlights were – Yoga Therapy: Evidence & Future Perspective, Palliative Care, Life Style Diseases, De addiction, Neurobiology of sleep and Consciousness.

3.   Workshop/Conference Organized By The Yoga Centre

International Conference on Integrative Approach to Gut Health

In collaboration with the Haryana Yog Aayog and National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh, we organized a hybrid International conference on 25th May, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM at NINE auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Around 700 participants registered through online mode and more than 350 participants physically attended the conference

4.   Yoga Session for Medical Technologists

On the occasion of National Medical Laboratory Week, the CCRYN-Yoga Centre organized a special session for Medical Technologists of PGIMER on 20th July 2023. Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) was administered to them and was attended by 15 MTA staff, where they also taught about the good physical and mental well-being

5.   9th International Day Of Yoga 21st June, 2023

The CCRYN-Yoga Centre celebrated the 9th International Day of Yoga with participation of more than 850 Healthcare workerss and their family and friends following this year‟s theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Har Ghar Har Aagan Yoga”. The hybrid event was organised by PGIMER‟s Yoga centre, „CCRYN-Collaborative Centre for Mind Body Intervention through Yoga‟ at PGIMER Sports Centre in early hours of 21st June 2023. Director, Dean, Deputy Director, faculty, students, staff and their families practised Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) after lamp lighting by the Director, Dr. Vivek Lal. CYP is a protocol practised each year on International Day of Yoga, which was demonstrated by accredited Yoga trainers of PGIMER Yoga centre.

6.   Awareness Programs Organized By The Yoga Centre

Orientation Organized at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. An orientation cum awareness program was held on 16th February 2023 by the CCRYN-CCMBIY PGIMER Centre in LT-1, Nehru Hospital. The orientation session was attended by at least 30-35 junior residents, senior residents and faculty members of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG). The orientation session was taken by Prof. In-Charge, Dr. Akshay Anand. The orientation program included introduction and objective of the CCRYN-Centre at PGIMER, enrolment/referral of patients from the OBG departments, types of Yoga that can be included followed by a 10-minutes Yoga session and interaction with the doctors departments, types of Yoga that can be included followed by a 10-minutes Yoga session and interaction with the doctors.

 

7.   De-addiction Protocol Training to Children’s: Organized by Chandigarh Police

8.   8th International Day Of Yoga 21 June, 2022

8th International Day of Yoga was celebrated in PGI at Zakir hall with the inauguration by the Director, PGIMER, in the presence of the Dean (Academic), Medical superintendent, Deputy Director (Administration), and Financial Advisor. The faculty, staff, and students with their families joined this celebration and practiced Common Yoga Protocol.

The theme for the 8th International Day of Yoga was “Yoga for Humanity.” More than 150 HCWs participated in the morning Yoga session.
